Waste Management Department of Dubai Municipality organizes customers’ forum

As a part of Dubai Municipality eagerness to enhance its relationships with customers at all levels and open a communication channel for constructive suggestions, a customer’s forum has been held at JW Marriott Marquis hotel in order to identify customers needs and demands, deal with them and hence remain the businesses profitable, sustainable for the future and fits well with the modern standard of living.
The number of participants has reached more than 200 from all over the world, including appreciable number of leaders, mangers, decision makers and specialists from Dubai Municipality and other entities, as well as representatives from shopping malls and international firms working in the field of waste management.
Eng. Salah Amiri assistant Director General of Environment and Public Health Services Sector opened the forum. The director of waste management department in Dubai Municipality Eng. Abdulmajeed Abdulaziz Saifaie made a welcome speech, stating that the forum is considered a real opportunity to broaden the participants knowledge and visions in the field of waste management, it also provides an ideal platform to discuss the customers’ needs face to face and hence achieve the highest customers satisfaction level through affording the best smart services according to the Best Available Techniques and International best Practices.
The forum has started with distributing certificates of appreciation and memorial trophies to the top ten shopping malls, those accomplished very high records in the scheme of waste segregation at source.
The Gulf center was announced as top one in the rank, while the second best and the third best were Emirates Towers Boulevard, Marina Mall respectively. In addition, Dubai Municipality also awarded Dubai Chamber and Al Ghurair Group as the best strategic partners who played a key role in the successful implementation of the scheme.
Eng Naji Al Ali the head of technical studies unit, has presented a brief presentation about the project of smart gates at landfills sites in the emirate, while Mr. Ahmed Saeed Bakhit the head of fleet management unit has presented the current projects developed in the field of fleet management and tracking systems.
On the other hand, Mr. Obaid Ozair Al Muhairi the head of waste containers management and supplies services unit has demonstrated a brief show about the new bins management system and the smart numbering system adopted in all waste containers in the emirate.
By the end of all presentations and demonstrations, a chance has been given to the audience for questions and discussions. Finally; Eng Abdulmajeed Abdulaziz Saifaie, The director of waste management department closed the session by acknowledging the great efforts made by all customers and partners to deliver this successful event, he also mentioned that all topics discussed during the forum were very rich and informative, and will definitely help the development of all Dubai municipality waste management services and will enhance the competitive role of the emirate.
On the other side, the customers and audience thanked Dubai municipality for this great event which enabled them to learn more about DM’s new waste management projects, exchange knowledge, revel cutting edge technologies and state of the art solutions adopted by Dubai Municipality to achieve its vision of creating one of the most clean and smart city around the world.
