Al Hajiri briefed on Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Projects

Dawood Al Hajiri, Director General of Dubai Municipality recently received a delegation from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation headed by Jamal Bin Huwaireb, the Executive Director of the Foundation.
The meeting reviewed the latest projects of the Foundation and its local and international role in spreading the Arab culture in various fields. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership between the Municipality and the Foundation in various cultural and artistic projects.
Al Hajiri listened to a detailed explanation from Bin Huwaireb, which covered all aspects of the Foundation’s activity and a film about the most important initiatives undertaken by the Foundation during the past five years in cooperation and coordination with several bodies at the local and international levels in order to support the Arabic language as well as the cultural creations as part of the original Arab heritage.
“His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the Foundation as a world leader in knowledge and development. This is reflected in the mission of the Foundation, which is to spread knowledge globally by improving the quality of education, support scientific research, set goals for developing human capital, develop the intellectual role of Arabic language and enhance the level of creativity among Arab youth,” said Bin Huwaireb.
He said that the Foundation has succeeded in categorizing the world knowledge wise through the most important international references recognized by the scientific and cultural institutions in the world and included seven international standards called the Dubai International Knowledge Standards.
The presentations of the Foundation’s projects and initiatives included the Global Knowledge Index, the Knowledge Summit, first in the world in the field of knowledge, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Knowledge Award, the Dubai International Writing Program, the Nobel Museum, the Arab Initiative, the Arab Innovation Forum, the Arab Professionals Forum, the Poetry House, and the Qandeel Educational Projects as well as participation in book exhibitions.
Bin Huwaireb praised the pioneering role of the Municipality and its outstanding partnership with many of the Foundation’s projects over the past years, expressing the Foundation’s desire to continue this strategic partnership.
Al Hajiri expressed his pleasure on the ambitious programs of the Foundation, pointing out that it is an integrated work and distinguished projects in this field.
He praised the achievements of the Foundation in the cultural and educational forums thanks to these initiatives and pilot programs.
Al Hajiri stressed the readiness of the Municipality to support and participate with the Foundation, which has become a global landmark in the field of culture and its participation in international events has already confirmed the extent the Emirate of Dubai has reached in the field of culture and dissemination of civilizational and humanitarian values in the world.
