Bird Watching
Hides were put up for visitors to view the plants, animals and habitats in the area.
The hides constitute the first step towards a comprehensive visitor education program. Visitors are officially allowed to enter the sanctuary and go to specific vantage points through the bird watch hides.
Guided tours
Dubai Municipality as a part of its mandate to promote environmental education, offers free guided tours to its visitors.
The Protected Areas Guide provides an interpretive talk and helps the visitors in identifying the birds and helps them see the wetland through an eye of a conservationist.

Nature Photography
Photography is a powerful tool in promoting conservation and creating an impact by producing conservation stories, awareness materials, scientific reports, digital contents and other publications.
Dubai Municipality has always encouraged photography at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary by establishing hides which serve as an excellent bird viewing points for photographers. Due to the conservation efforts of Dubai Municipality, the citizens of UAE can enjoy the natural beauty amidst the urban areas and be informed about the importance of preserving the nature for future generations to see.
