Get closer to the birds by visiting our bird hides. Open all year round!
Bring along your binoculars to spot magnificent migratory and residents birds displaying a dazzling assortment of colors, sizes, shapes and behaviors. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary offers bird watching through three bird hides at strategic locations to give visitors a closer view of birds and other wildlife in the area.
Take nothing but memories, Kill nothing but time, Leave nothing but footprints!
Things to take along:
Binoculars, Camera and a Bird guide
Important Reminders Inside the sanctuary hide:
Quiet zone, No Phone, No pets, No food, No drinks, No Smoking
Do not go beyond “No Entry” signs and the fenced area.
Do follow the important reminders while inside the bird hides.
The following practices are prohibited and may result in heavy fines and legal actions:
Parking outside the designated areas, introducing pets or alien species into the sanctuary, polluting the soil, water or air of the sanctuary, approaching or harming wildlife, damaging vegetation or geological formations, collecting or transporting plants, animals or parts thereof, producing noise or using noise producing tools/equipments, using firearms, hunting or trapping of any kind.

We strive to provide the best experience and have a duty of care towards our visitors. However, we expect our visitors to take responsibility for their own personal safety and safety of others.
Reminder:
Only 10 people allowed at a time inside the hide, no smoking, no sharp materials, do not sit on the window plank, keep hydrated, no rushing or pushing inside the bird hides , mind your belongings, give priority to people of determination.
Guided Tour
As a part of its mandate to promote environmental education, Dubai Municipality offers free guided tours to its visitors at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. The Protected Areas Guide provides an interpretive talk and helps the visitors in identifying the birds, and helps them see wetlands through the eyes of a conservationist.
