Habitat: | Coastal mudflats and sandy intertidal zones, also inland saline and freshwater marshes. Inland, more likely to be found in freshwater. |

Other Status: | Part of the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Water-Birds (AEWA). |
