Dubai Municipality trains 280 engineers through specialised programme for consultancy and contracting companies in the emirate

  • 280 engineers from over 170 consultancy offices and contracting firms trained under Dubai Municipality’s dedicated programme.

Dubai Municipality has successfully trained and qualified 280 engineers from more than 170 consultancy offices and contracting companies through its specialised programme aimed at advancing the capabilities of professionals in the construction sector.

The initiative introduces participants to the Dubai Building Platform and Engineering Qualification System, providing full technical support to ensure effective use of municipal digital systems and services. The programme also forms part of Dubai Municipality’s broader efforts to enhance public-private collaboration and improve the quality and sustainability of urban development across the emirate.

A total of 18 training sessions have been held to date, equipping participants with the knowledge to efficiently navigate Dubai Municipality’s digital platforms and systems. The sessions covered the use of the Dubai Building Platform, engineering qualification processes, licensing and supervision requirements, and guidance on approved policies and technical standards. Best practices were also shared to streamline qualification and licensing procedures, ultimately supporting higher-quality construction outcomes.

Mariam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Building Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, said: “This programme supports Dubai Municipality’s strategic vision to elevate the construction and urban planning sector towards a smarter, more sustainable future.
