Dubai Municipality is participating in Big 5 Global 2025, taking place from 24 to 27 November at Dubai World Trade Centre, with a comprehensive presence across keynote sessions, panel discussions, technical workshops, and a dedicated exhibition stand. The participation underscores Dubai Municipality’s role in advancing future-ready urban systems and supporting Dubai’s vision for a sustainable, liveable, and globally competitive city.
As one of the construction sector’s foremost global platforms, Big 5 Global provides an opportunity for Dubai Municipality to highlight pioneering municipal projects and share practical experience with international partners, experts, and industry stakeholders. The participation reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to integrating innovation, sustainability, and data-driven decision-making across the built environment and municipal services.
Maryam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Building Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality said: “Dubai Municipality’s participation at Big 5 Global 2025 demonstrates a clear commitment to pioneering municipal systems that anticipate future needs and support sustainable urban development. By showcasing advanced platforms, geospatial capabilities, and artificial intelligence applications, Dubai Municipality continues to strengthen the foundations of a beautiful, liveable, and future-ready city, while supporting the construction ecosystem with reliable data, clear regulation, and innovative digital services.”
Dubai Municipality’s experts are contributing to several of the event’s key platforms, including the Big 5 FutureTech Summit, LiveableCitiesX Summit, GeoWorld Summit, Geospatial Talks, and Sustainability Talks. These contributions highlight Dubai Municipality’s experience in developing regulatory frameworks and technical solutions that support resilient, high-performing urban environments.
As part of the event’s activities, Dubai Municipality will also host a meeting of members of the UAE branch of buildingSMART International, which is managed by the Municipality, to review the latest developments in the implementation of Building Information Modelling in line with global standards.
At the Dubai Municipality stand, visitors can explore a selection of strategic, innovation-led projects. One of the key exhibits is the AI-Powered Platform for Permits, Compliance, and BIM Support, an integrated solution designed to assist consultants, contractors, and project owners throughout the construction lifecycle. The platform combines three core services in a single interface: the Permit System Companion, providing AI-powered assistance for consultants and contractors; the Violation Resolution Center, offering AI-guided support for regulatory compliance; and the BIM Companion, delivering AI-assisted guidance for building information modelling submissions. Together, these services enhance efficiency, support compliance, and accelerate digital transformation across the construction sector.
Dubai Municipality is also presenting the Digital Twin and Infrastructure project, a three-dimensional map of Dubai that displays above- and below-ground data within a study area of fifteen square kilometres, including a detailed survey of five square kilometres using approved municipal methodologies and specialised surveying equipment. The resulting data is published within a digital twin environment, enabling more accurate planning, infrastructure management, and asset lifecycle decision-making.
Another key exhibit is Dana, a virtual assistant developed to promote the use of artificial intelligence across Dubai Municipality’s projects. Dana supports users in navigating municipal services and systems, helping to make interactions more intuitive and efficient, and illustrating how artificial intelligence can enhance the customer experience and increase the speed and accuracy of responses.
In the marine and coastal domain, Dubai Municipality is showcasing Dubai Electronic Navigational Charts, a suite of nautical charts and navigational products produced in accordance with the standards of the International Hydrographic Organization. These charts support safe and efficient navigation, underpin the development of marine areas, and contribute to the sustainable management of Dubai’s coastal environment.
In addition to conference sessions and stand exhibits, Dubai Municipality is presenting a specialised workshop at the stand on a study examining the possibility of predicting and identifying potential locations using advanced geographic information system technologies. The workshop demonstrates how spatial analysis and modelling can support proactive planning, infrastructure optimisation, and better-informed decision-making across the city.
Through its participation at Big 5 Global 2025, Dubai Municipality reaffirms its commitment to pioneering municipal solutions, supporting the construction and infrastructure sector with clear regulation and advanced digital tools, and contributing to the creation of sustainable, high-quality urban environments. The Municipality’s presence reinforces its strategic role in shaping Dubai as a global benchmark for innovative, resilient, and people-centred cities.
