What we aim to achieve
- To entrench the values of social responsibility and volunteerism in the moral code of institutions and individuals by initiating sustainable partnerships with food and hospitality sector entities such as restaurants, supermarkets and hotels, and by raising awareness of the importance of volunteering with the UAE Food Bank at any stage, including collecting, storing or distributing meals.
- To reduce the amount of food wasted, and position Dubai to be the first city in the region to achieve zero food waste, and then expanding to the different Emirates.
- To solidify the social value of sustainability, and reduce excessive food waste, through awareness campaigns that highlight the importance of preserving the UAE’s natural resources for future generations.
- Open UAE Food Bank branches inside and outside the UAE, in order to deliver meals to as many underprivileged people as possible.
