Rumours about children’s slime toy

Health and Safety Department in Dubai Municipality calls on public to be careful about the news and rumors of consumer products, which are available for display or trading in the local market in the emirate.
And referring to what has recently been circulated on some social media platforms about the spread of toy paste for children over the age of three, including what is known as slime toys.
Health and Safety Department confirms that the imported and traded toys in markets such as slime toys are subject to an integrated control system starting from inspection at the ports, allowing the import, and trading of products that meet health and safety requirements.
In addition to the regular inspection program on licensed trading establishment in the emirate to ensure and verify their commitment to the displaying and trading of safe toys that complies to the recommended specifications.
Samples are also withdrawn for laboratory safety tests; recall and withdrawal system is conducted to take an immediate removal and destruction of non-complied products and included in the lists posted on the Dubai Municipality website.
