Children’s City Summer Camp offers various educational and entertaining activities and fieldtrips

Children’s City, a science-based learning center owned and operated by Dubai Municipality, has launched a summer camp until August 5, themed ‘My Summer of Happiness and Knowledge in Children’s City’, for children aged between 7 and 13 years.
The camp comes in line with Dubai Municipality’s keenness to ensure that children participate in fun and useful education, entertainment, and sports activities, in addition to fieldtrips.
Summer Camp Events:
The main events taking place in the summer camp this year include interactive contests, a show titled ‘The Magic of Chemical Reactions’; developing children’s skills and talents in painting through the ‘Picasso Artists’ activity; a number of artistic events such as ‘The Art of Decoration’, ‘The Art of Pottery’, ‘The Art of Making Candles’, and the ‘Cooking Club’. It also features ‘The Sports Club’ aiming to develop the athletic and physical abilities of the children.
Additionally, a number of educational activities such as ‘The Young Explorer’, ‘The Young Writer’, and ‘The Young Farmer’, and educational workshops that promote the culture of recycling and savings are also being held during this summer. Moreover, the summer camp features an event on sign language and communication skills in collaboration with the Community Development Authority (CDA), and more activities that combine entertainment and education.
Fieldtrips:
This year’s summer camp in Children’s City includes 11 fieldtrips: the Skating Rink on Jumeirah Street, Modhesh World, Wild Wadi Waterpark, the Cavalry Center in collaboration with Dubai Police, Atlantis Aquarium, Adventure Park in Al Quoz, Al Shindagha Heritage District, Nuts Factory in Jebel Ali, Dubai Municipality Club for swimming and tennis, Dubai Police Shooting Club, and the Organic Restaurant trip.
Summer Camp Timings and Supporting the “Dubai Destinations” Initiative:
The summer camp will run from Monday to Thursday from 8 am to 3 pm, and Fridays from 8 am to 12 pm. The event enhances the Children’s City’s position as a unique destination for children and families, which combines education and entertainment. It also supports the ‘Dubai Destinations’ initiative, which aims at highlighting various prominent destinations in Dubai offering varied activities and events.
