Under the visionary guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, Vice President, and Prime Minister of the UAE, Decree No. (24) of 2021 was issued to regulate the use of 3D printing technology in Dubai’s construction sector. Our goal is ambitious: by 2030, we aim to have 25% of all new buildings in Dubai constructed using 3D printing technology.
The decree also aims to make Dubai the regional and international hub in 3D printing technologies. It is part of a wider strategy aimed at stimulating economic growth and adopting state-of-the-art technologies. Adopting such technologies shall therefore improve efficiency in construction projects, increase the competitiveness of the local industry, reduce waste, and promote Dubai as attractive to major companies.
