Ready Mix Certification
In its efforts to develop and improve the Ready Mix Concrete manufacturing sector in Dubai; Dubai Municipality (DM) has issued the Administrative Decision No. (316) of 2012 on the control of Ready Mix Concrete Plants, Precast Concrete Factories and Central Batching Units (CBUs) and to ensure that the approved regulations and specifications related to the quality of the product are strictly fulfilled by the manufacturers.
The aforementioned Administrative Decision requires that all Ready Mix Concrete factories, Precast Concrete Factories and Central Batching Units (CBUs) shall obtain certificate/ Conformity Mark issued by Dubai Central Laboratory-Certification and Quality Control of Products Section (DCLD-CQPS) in accordance with regulations and requirements of Dubai Municipality.
In this regard, DCLD-CQPS has developed and issued the Dubai Municipality Technical Guide (TG-02), specifying the requirements for operating Ready Mix Concrete Factories, Precast Concrete Factories and Central Batching Units (CBUs), as well as establishing the general and specific rules required for certifying these factories according to the requirements of the said standard.
